When Chasetown FC made the back page of The Independent on 3rd September 2026, it wasn’t just a proud moment for the club u2014 it was a national moment for Burntwood.

Clearly visible in the action photograph, shot pitchside during a hard-fought match, is the Aldridge Fabrications (AF) hoarding. For a Staffordshire manufacturer whose roots go back to 1957, seeing the company name in one of Britain’s best-known national newspapers is a reminder of what genuine community investment looks like.

More Than a Logo on a Board

Aldridge Fabrications’ sponsorship of Chasetown FC isn’t a transaction u2014 it’s a reflection of values. The company has been part of the fabric of the Staffordshire region for over 60 years, employing local people, working with local supply chains, and backing local institutions. Supporting the Scholars is a natural extension of that.

While many businesses talk about community commitment, Aldridge puts it on the hoarding u2014 quite literally.

“We’ve supported Chasetown FC because they’re part of this community, and so are we. To see our name on the back page of a national newspaper u2014 that’s not something you can plan for. It’s the result of backing local football and being proud of where we come from. Burntwood is where this business was built, and that means something to us.”

National Reach, Local Roots

The Independent’s back page reaches a readership of millions across print and digital. For a Burntwood business, that kind of exposure would typically require a significant national advertising budget. Instead, it came through a grassroots football sponsorship and a club having a moment worth photographing.

It’s the kind of visibility that money rarely buys directly u2014 earned through showing up, season after season, for the local community.

Looking Ahead

Aldridge Fabrications remains committed to its partnership with Chasetown FC and to the broader Staffordshire community it has called home since its founding. As the club continues its season, the team at Aldridge will be watching u2014 and proud to have their name on the board.
